On October 30, 2024, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram visited Communication University of China at Beijing and met Prof. Li Huailiang, Dean of the Institute for a Community with Shared Future (ICSF), Communication University of China and the management of the Institute for a Community with Shared Future (ICSF).
During the meeting, Mr. Akram discussed the next year working plan of research cooperation and event cooperation. They also explored ways to foster deeper academic ties between their institutions, emphasizing the importance of collaborative research initiatives that align with the vision of a community with a shared future. The discussion highlighted various opportunities for joint seminars, workshops, and conferences aimed at promoting cross-cultural understanding and sharing best practices among scholars from different backgrounds.
The meeting was notably attended by the management of the Institute for a Community with Shared Future (ICSF), Prof. Zhang Yanqiu, Deputy Dean of ICSF, and Director of Africa Communication Research Centre; Prof. Wang Sixin, Deputy Dean of ICSF; Prof. Wen Chunying, Deputy Dean of ISCF, and Dean of the School of International Studies, and Dr. Ge Yanling, Section Chief of the Office of ICSF.
Prof. Li Huailiang also appreciated Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram's significant contribution to championing the concept of a community with a shared future, as envisioned by President Xi Jinping. Additionally, his remarkable efforts have greatly influenced the global academic community in support of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
