On 11th February 2025, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF) visited Institute for Community with Shared Future (ICSF) in Beijing, China and met with Prof. Li Huailiang, Dean of the Institute for a Community with Shared Future (ICSF), Communication University of China (CUC), Beijing, China.
The meeting was notably attended by the management of the Institute for a Community with Shared Future (ICSF), Prof. Zhang Yanqiu, Deputy Dean of ICSF, CUC, Beijing, China and Director of Africa Communication Research Centre, Ms. Sun Yuhong, Director of the Office of International Affairs of the ICSF, CUC, Beijing, China and Dr. Ge Yanling, Section Chief of the Office of the ICSF, CUC, Beijing, China.
During the meeting, Prof. Li Huailiang expressed heartfelt appreciation for Mr. Akram's significant contributions to championing the concept of a community with a shared future, as envisioned by President Xi Jinping. He acknowledged Mr. Akram's remarkable efforts, which have greatly influenced the global academic community in support of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Prof. Li also commended PRCCSF's pivotal role in promoting regional connectivity and fostering win-win cooperation, recognizing their efforts in enhancing economic integration and cultural exchange, contributing to the progress and prosperity of the region.
Mr. Akram discussed the working plan for year 2025, focusing on research cooperation and event collaboration. They explored ways to deepen academic ties between their institutions, emphasizing collaborative research initiatives that align with the vision of a community with a shared future. The discussion highlighted various opportunities for joint seminars, workshops, and conferences aimed at promoting cross-cultural understanding and sharing best practices among scholars from diverse backgrounds.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. Li Huailiang and the management of the Institute for Community with Shared Future (ICSF) hosted a lunch for Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram in Beijing, China.
