The 2025 Belt and Road Journalists Forum was successfully held in Jiangxi Province, China, from 14 July to 20 July 2025, organized by the All-China Journalists Association under the theme “Promoting Civilizational Dialogues and Global Modernization with the Power of Journalists.”

Highlights included visits to the Jiangxi Provincial Museum, Sinopec Jiujiang Company, the Yangtze River National Cultural Park, and various cultural sites in Jiujiang. Mr. Akram also toured the Jiujiang Tea Market, participated in a dialogue on urban governance with local officials, and observed eco-friendly water management solutions at Shuangxi Park. A visit to Lushan Mountain focused on plant conservation and rural tourism, while a trip to the Fushougou Museum in Ganzhou highlighted the region’s development legacy.

That same day, Mr. Akram also spoke at the seminar Upholding News Authenticity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, where he examined AI's profound impact on shaping public perception and its growing influence on the media landscape.
The forum’s main sessions facilitated high-level discussions on international media cooperation, culminating in ceremonies and dialogue led by senior Chinese media figures. The event underscored journalism’s vital role in fostering peace, cooperation, and cultural understanding across the Belt and Road Initiative, with Mr. Akram’s contributions notably advancing media collaboration and ethical reporting.
